Sharing Images of Maine is my passion
I’m George Baines, a photographer who loves to capture the beauty of Maine’s natural landscape. I’ve been taking photos for over 50 years, and my love of nature has only grown stronger: always looking for new and creative ways to capture the beauty of the outdoors, and I love to share my photos with others; the ultimate compliment, for me, is to have one of my images hanging in someone’s home.
I specialize in taking photos of Maine’s nature around the southern mid-coastal communities where I live, including rivers, forests, and coastlines. I also offer a variety of print and digital products. My goal is to help people celebrate the beauty of Maine’s natural landscape through my photography.
As a photographer, I want my photos to imagine an impressive world; one in which the subject – be it a place, a plant, a person or animal – stands out, shines, where viewers need to be transported.
This is the power that photography has always had for me.
